Just like Torpedo Extra IPA, this steak packs a major flavor punch. With a beer-based marinade, infused with fiery habanero and jalapeño peppers, it grills fast for fantastic tacos.
Ingredients
1/2 cup Torpedo Extra IPA
3 habanero peppers, cored, deseeded & minced
2 jalapeño peppers, cored, deseeded & minced
1/3 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup olive oil
1.5 pounds flank steak
10–12 corn tortillas
Onion, cilantro & lime to garnish
Step 1
Whisk together Torpedo, habaneros, jalapeños, orange juice, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2
Place flank steak in a large, non-reactive* bowl or dish. Pour marinade over steak, cover, and marinate in refrigerator for at least 2 hours, up to overnight. Turn occasionally for even marinating.
Step 3
Remove steak from refrigerator and prepare a grill for direct medium-high heat. Grill steak for 6 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let rest before slicing and serving on tortillas topped with onion, cilantro, and freshly squeezed lime juice. *Such as stainless steel, ceramic, or glass. Ensures no metallic off-flavors affect your steak.
