Kellerweis

Bavarian-style Wheat

Inspired by traditional Bavarian brewing techniques, Kellerweis is a true artisan experience. Kellerweis is brewed in open fermentation tanks — a process rarely seen today — to let the hefeweizen yeast create complex aromas and flavors. The result is refreshing and refined: fruity flavors topped by notes of spicy clove and just-baked banana bread.

Old Meets New

Bold hop flavor is our calling card. But another thing we’re famous for? Pairing tradition with innovation. With our Kellerweis, we lessened the hop punch to bring you a lighter German-inspired artisan beer. A hazy wheat ale with a hint of clove spice, this year-round favorite is done best on a sunny porch with your pals.

Bavarian Brewing

Home to the oldest operating brewery in the world and almost half the breweries in the country, the Bavarian region of Germany is living hop history. Since 1516, their Bavarian Purity Law limits beer ingredients to hops, water, malt, and yeast. Our Kellerweis, a type of Hefeweizen beer, is inspired by their technique of brewing in open fermentation tanks. And it’s one of the only Hefeweizens in America brewed this way.
