DETAILS

Please join us for an exclusive sneak peek screening of A Life Reimagined: The George Masa Story, a new documentary from Emmy Award-winning director Paul Bonesteel in conjunction with Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy. This inspiring film explores the life and legacy of George Masa (1885-1933), a Japanese-born photographer whose passion for the Southern Appalachian landscape helped encourage the creation of Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Appalachian Trail. Don’t miss this special opportunity to experience the film before its official release and celebrate a story that continues to resonate with conservation efforts today.

While this special preview marks an exciting milestone, Bonesteel Films is still raising funds to support “finishing funds,” which include: final post-production, distribution, and promotion efforts to help bring Masa’s story to wide audiences. If you’d like to further support the film, tax-deductible donations can be made through their fiscal sponsor, Center for Independent Documentary (CID).
